{"id":245,"date":"2007-10-31T02:01:12","date_gmt":"2007-10-31T06:01:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.archibaldjude.com\/spew\/?p=245"},"modified":"2007-10-31T02:01:12","modified_gmt":"2007-10-31T06:01:12","slug":"alien-egg-photoshop-tutorial","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.archibaldjude.com\/spew\/2007\/10\/31\/alien-egg-photoshop-tutorial\/","title":{"rendered":"alien egg photoshop tutorial"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In this tutorial, we&#8217;ll show you how to create these glowing blobular Alien Eggs in Photoshop<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.archibaldjude.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/30x3_bubble_red-yell.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-251\" title=\"30x3_bubble_red-yell\" src=\"http:\/\/www.archibaldjude.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/30x3_bubble_red-yell-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>01 :: First, create a new file with a good canvas size &amp; large dpi:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.archibaldjude.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/ALIEN_EGG_01.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-247\" title=\"ALIEN_EGG_01\" src=\"http:\/\/www.archibaldjude.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/ALIEN_EGG_01.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"422\" height=\"334\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>02 :: Next, create a new layer, fill it with a dark colour, and name it:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.archibaldjude.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/ALIEN_EGG_02.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-248\" title=\"ALIEN_EGG_02\" src=\"http:\/\/www.archibaldjude.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/ALIEN_EGG_02.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"212\" height=\"183\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>03 :: Then, to give our Alien Eggs a translucent appearance, wherein their cell walls are visible, we need to modify the properties of the Paint Brush Tool:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0&#8211; Select the Paint Brush Tool<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0&#8211; Open the Brushes module &amp; select Wet Edges<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.archibaldjude.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/ALIEN_EGG_04.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-250\" title=\"ALIEN_EGG_04\" src=\"http:\/\/www.archibaldjude.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/ALIEN_EGG_04.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"386\" height=\"431\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>04 :: Any Alien Eggs worth their weight will give off an odd glow.
